Due to its desert-like environment this amazing cat has adapted to live without water. She will gain all her body moisture from the food she eats.
She will make a den for her kittens in piles of rocks and boulders or abandoned anthills. These anthills are considerably larger than any you or I are used to seeing.
Black-footed kittens will develop much quicker than other wild cats but will stay with their mother much longer. The mother cat will also have litters considerably smaller than average, giving birth to only 1 to 3 kittens at a time.
Another interesting fact that separates these cats from others is that when the mother alerts her kittens to danger, they will stay perfectly still instead of hurrying back to safety. The kittens will only return to their mother after she signals them.
These cats are considered extremely rare by some experts as they only exist in a small area. They maybe be one of the most gorgeous cats I have ever seen.
