Cute Earless Kitten

The earless cat also known as the Scottish Fold or Munchkin, maybe one the most adorable cat breeds out there. This cute kitten can be distinguished by its small folded ears and big beautiful eyes. First discovered in Scotland by a farmer in 1961 these cats were bred for their unique look. There are, however, some negative traits associated with this breed. It seems that the GCCF, a British cat fancy association, refuses to acknowledged the cat as a real breed because of the genetic defects associated with them. Apparently, the gene which carries the traits for the kittens folded ears may also cause skeletal abnormalities that can lead to limb and tail stiffness.

Beautiful Black-Footed Kitten

One of the worlds most beautiful creatures, the black-footed cat is also one of the smallest. Originating in South Africa this elegant feline will only grow to be 8 inches tall and 20 inches long.

Due to its desert-like environment this amazing cat has adapted to live without water. She will gain all her body moisture from the food she eats.

She will make a den for her kittens in piles of rocks and boulders or abandoned anthills. These anthills are considerably larger than any you or I are used to seeing.

Black-footed kittens will develop much quicker than other wild cats but will stay with their mother much longer. The mother cat will also have litters considerably smaller than average, giving birth to only 1 to 3 kittens at a time.

Another interesting fact that separates these cats from others is that when the mother alerts her kittens to danger, they will stay perfectly still instead of hurrying back to safety. The kittens will only return to their mother after she signals them.

These cats are considered extremely rare by some experts as they only exist in a small area. They maybe be one of the most gorgeous cats I have ever seen.

Bitsy The Worlds Smallest Cat

Her name says it all! Bitsy a full grown 1 year old cat, from Pensacola, Florida. This tiny cats owners are entering her into the Guinness Book of World Records for the title of worlds smallest cat. The current title holder weighed in at 3 pounds, while Bitsy weighs half that at 1.5 pounds. This extremely cute cat weighs is only six inches long and would easily be mistaken for a young kitten. Below is a CNN video of the pocket sized little record breaker. Enjoy.
